Adeneo Embedded Reveals New Silverlight Based Demo Application on Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3

San Jose, CA – April 26th, 2010 – Adeneo Embedded, a worldwide Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold System Integrator and Microsoft Silverlight Partner revealed today at Embedded System Conference (ESC) Silicon Valley a new version of the “Olivia’s tablet”, a Consumer Internet Device (CID) user experience demonstration developed using Silverlight for Windows Embedded technology, for devices running Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3.

This new version of “Olivia’s tablet” can be seen running on the Freescale SABRE, a i.MX51 based reference design for Smartbook tablet devices.

With this enhanced version of the CID user experience application, Adeneo Embedded fully demonstrates the graphical capability of Silverlight for Windows Embedded like opacity masks, multi-layered rendering and rotation effects. The updated application also introduces additional features like playing videos and browsing documents. An online demonstration video of the updated “Olivia’s tablet” application is available on Olivier Bloch’s blog

Adeneo Embedded’s CEO, Yannick Chammings, says “This new CID user experience demonstration on Freescale SABRE reference design is a great illustration of our close working collaboration with Freescale and Microsoft for bringing innovative devices to market based on Windows Embedded CE and i.MX technologies. This new Silverlight for Windows Embedded based application demonstrates further Adeneo Embedded’s core expertise on developing advanced multimedia embedded solutions using our skills in BSPs and drivers development, graphical performances optimization, as well as User Interface developments.”

The first version of the “Olivia’s tablet” demo was developed by Adeneo Embedded in collaboration with Microsoft and Infragistics for the launch of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 at Embedded System Conference Boston in September 2009.
