Pickering Interfaces demonstrates new test and verification solutions at AUTOTESTCON

August 23, 2022 – Chelmsford, MA – Pickering Interfaces, a leading provider of modular signal switching and simulation products for electronic test and verification, has made many new announcements since the last AUTOTESTCON conference, so the company is genuinely excited to be attending IEEE AUTOTESTCON 2022 at the Gaylord National Convention Centre, National Harbor, Maryland (Aug 29 – Sep 01) – the world’s premier conference for the military/aerospace automatic test industry.

At booth 303, the company will highlight the following:

Updated Cable Design Tool

Pickering introduced its Cable Design Tool (CDT) six years ago to make it easier for test engineers to select and create the best interconnect solutions to ensure test repeatability and accuracy. The latest version features a similar look and feel to the original but has many new features based on user feedback. New in the latest version is the Project Manager. Its primary purpose is to organize designs in a project folder structure. These folders can be shared with other users, providing access to communication, attachments, history, and other functions. The Project Manager also controls access to shared designs and manages the custom design library, which is the user’s design library. Messages to other users and Pickering’s engineers can now be sent and received within the tool. This improves workflow and helps with the approval process, providing traceability of changes and keeping all communications on the design in one place. The design submission process is greatly simplified, and, as well as being more collaborative, Pickering’s CDT is now more secure. Unauthorized users can only view and not edit the design, thus minimizing errors. Designs can also be locked.

PXIe Chassis

The new 18-slot full hybrid PXIe chassis with Gen 2 performance (model 42-926). The high-performance PXIe chassis provides one PXIe system slot, one PXIe timing slot and 16 hybrid compatible slots for application flexibility. The chassis utilizes a single PCI segment with a dedicated PCIe-to-PCI bridge module for the hybrid slots.

Also highlighted at the booth will be:

  • Pickering’s fault insertion switching, programmable resistor modules and thermocouple simulation modules.
  • eBIRST Switching System Test Tools – designed to simplify system fault-finding by quickly testing the system and graphically identifying the faulty relay.

Pickering Interfaces stands behind all of its manufactured products with a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support. Pricing and availability information is supplied on their website at www.pickeringtest.com.
