Infrared Array Sensor Grid-EYE — Mouser Electronics and Panasonic

 

Presence detection can be a tricky task when designing IoT edge devices. There are countless applications where we need to know whether or not people are around, but we don’t want anything like the enormous cost and overhead of a full-blown video analytics subsystem, and many of the “simple” solutions just don’t perform well enough. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton chats with Eric Johnsrud of Panasonic about Grid-EYE – an infrared array sensor solution that makes presence-sensing a snap.
