A global charging solution for EVSEs and EVs – new high performance Amphenol Industrial Excel Mate CC Connectors – now at TTI

Locking system for optimal safety; compliant with IEC 62196-3

July 2018 – New high-performance Excel Mate CC Connectors from Amphenol Industrial provide a global charging solution on both sides of the infrastructure and are now available at TTI, Inc., a world leading specialist distributor of electronic components.  They are compliant with IEC 62196-3, and also meet all other necessary standards.

These new EV and EVSE connectors from Amphenol Industrial are robust, and can withstand more than 10,000 mating cycles unloaded. Insertion and withdrawal force is less than 100N, while insulation resistance is greater than 100MΩ. Electrical specifications for the Excel Mate CC connectors include rated current of 63A maximum (AC), 200A maximum (DC), with rated voltage of 480V maximum AC and 1000V/750V maximum DC.

As an optional addition to the standard specification, the two DC+ and DC- power contacts can be monitored by temperature-dependent resistor sensors. To cope with different environments around the globe, the Excel Mate CC connectors are IP44-rated in mated condition, and can withstand ambient temperatures of -30degC to +50degC.
