40GbE Added to Rugged 1U MicroTCA Chassis Platform Family from VadaTech

Henderson, NV – November 1, 2017 – VadaTech, a manufacturer of embedded boards and complete application-ready platforms, now offers a 40GbE rugged 6-slot MicroTCA chassis in a 1U height. The chassis is designed to meet MIL-STD-901D and 810G for shock and vibration and MIL-STD-461F for EMI.

The VT953 extends the successful VT95x family of rugged 1U chassis, competing with rugged architectures typically at least 3U high for comparable capability and performance. The VT953 holds up to 6 Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMCs) and has an integrated MCH with IEEE1588/SyncE/GPS capabilities, now with full layer 3 managed switch supporting a comprehensive enterprise-grade routing and switching feature set and providing dual 40GbE to each AMC slot plus dual 40GbE to the front panel.

The rugged 1U chassis offers front-to-rear cooling with a selection of DC power supplies, including wide input range (-36 to -75V), optional JTAG Switch Module, and optional Virtual JTAG probe. Modules with front panel retention screws can be plugged into the chassis, and VadaTech offers special retention clips so that standard MicroTCA.0 AMCs can be securely held into the chassis to meet shock requirements.

VadaTech provides the full ecosystem of MicroTCA and OpenVPX products, including payload modules, chassis platforms, switches, and power modules. Rugged ATR chassis are available in several formats.
