Eurotech Announces ReliaGATE 50-21 Multi-Service Gateway for M2M Applications

Columbia, MD and Chicago, IL, Connected World Conference – June 12, 2012 – Eurotech, a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, today announces the ReliaGATE 50-21, an industrial grade multi-service gateway designed to enable M2M applications in a variety of environments. Based on the Intel(r) Atom(tm) processor, the ReliaGATE 50-21 Multi-Service Gateway delivers communications, computation power, a middleware application framework and seamless M2M platform integration for immediate service generation and deployment.

The ReliaGATE 50-21 is a flexible, application-ready platform with enhanced wireless capabilities to simplify connecting devices to the Cloud.  The ReliaGATE runs on Wind River Linux 4.3 and includes the Everyware Software Framework (ESF) application middleware to simplify development.  The hardware platform is ready to deploy and natively integrated with the recently launched Eurotech Everyware Cloud 2.0 M2M platform to collect and manage M2M device data and quickly deploy solutions on the Internet of Things.

“The ReliaGATE product family introduces a new, much simpler and faster way to develop, deploy and manage Internet of Things applications,” said Kurt Hochanadel, Product Marketing Manager, Eurotech. “Our goal is to help companies easily manage their M2M applications with an end-to-end solution for connecting devices and storing data in the cloud. This new smart gateway product family immediately connects distributed devices and sensors with the business application and the IT infrastructure. For the developer, it is the entry point to our cloud solution: on the embedded device side, it delivers the benefits of Eurotech ESF (Everyware Software Framework), the software framework for effortless, highly portable programming; on the enterprise side, it delivers an easy path to data consumption and device monitoring though Eurotech Cloud services.”

The ReliaGATE 50-21 offers a vast range of connectivity options including 3G cellular, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, GPS and Zigbee 802.15.4. The multi-service gateway includes a powerful integrated routing application to instantly configure, manage and route all data and all connectivity through the interfaces through a simple web based GUI, locally or Over-The-Air (OTA). Talk to Eurotech about deployable M2M solutions in Booth 121 at the Connected World Conference June 12 and 13, 2012.

What are the Differences Between an Integrated ADC and a Standalone ADC?
Sponsored by Mouser Electronics and Microchip
Many designs today require some form of analog to digital conversion but how you implement an ADC into your design can make a big difference when it comes to accuracy and precision. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Iman Chalabi from Microchip and Amelia Dalton investigate the benefits of both integrated ADC solutions and standalone ADCs. They discuss the roles that internal switching noise, process technology, and design complexity play when choosing the right ADC solution for your next design.
