Agilent Technologies Launches Online Digital Test Solutions Expertise Center

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 15, 2010 — Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced its Digital Test Solutions and Expertise Online Center. The learning site gives customers a range of essential tools on high-speed digital test, including USB 3.0, DisplayPort and HDMI, SATA/SAS, PCI Express®, MIPI and memory.

The highly competitive environment for computer- and consumer-electronics companies requires extremely fast new product creation utilizing more advanced devices To be successful, design engineers require the most current information in standards like USB, SATA, PCI Express, HDMI, DisplayPort and memory. Agilent’s Digital Test Solution and Expertise Online Center was created to assist in the design of the latest in “life-style” electronics.

Information includes:

  • current industry events, plug fests, development conferences and workshops;
  • access to Agilent experts for physical-layer, protocol-layer and compliance testing;
  • application notes, white papers, expert blogs; and
  • digital test applications.

“Agilent’s new online portal provides the expertise digital designers need at the earliest stages of the development cycle,” said Sigi Gross, general manager and vice president of Agilent’s Digital Test Division. “Our application-optimized measurement information tools and data collection helps engineers find information fast and easy, enabling much faster time to market and improved product quality.”

Agilent’s Digital Test Standards Program

Agilent’s solutions for digital applications are driven and supported by Agilent experts who are involved in various international standards committees. Experts from the Agilent Digital Test Standards Program are active in the Joint Electronic Devices Engineering Council (JEDEC), PCI-SIG®, Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), Serial ATA International Organization (SATA-IO), Serial Attached SCSI (T10), USB-Implementers Forum (USB-IF), MIPI AllianceEthernet standards (IEEE 802.3), Optical Internetworking Forum(OIF), and many others. Agilent’s involvement in these standards groups and their related workshops, plugfests, and seminars enable the company to bring the right solutions to the market when its customers need them.
