Micronas Deploys ClioSoft SOS Design Collaboration Platform

REMONT, Calif., May 17, 2016 – Micronas, a TDK group company and the most preferred partner for sensing and control, has deployed ClioSoft’s SOS7 Design Management Platform. ClioSoft is the pioneer and leading developer of system-on-chip (SoC) design configuration and enterprise intellectual property (IP) management solutions for the semiconductor industry. ClioSoft’s SOS platform is integrated with major EDA flows from Cadence Design Systems, Keysight Technologies, Mentor Graphics and Synopsys.

The deployment of ClioSoft SOS for Synopsys Custom Compiler™ at Micronas’ operational headquarters in Freiburg, Germany, will improve design collaboration and data management among design teams as well as continuing to promote IP reuse.

“We were pleased, during due diligence, to find that ClioSoft is very well regarded for tight integration into existing tool flows, fast bring-up, and support,” says Dr. Gernot Koch, CAD manager at Micronas. “Their tight integration with Synopsys® Custom Compiler enables our designers to manage the different versions of their design and to collaborate efficiently with other team members. As our design engineers continue to tackle development of increasingly complex mixed-signal, sensor-based applications, we are looking forward to benefiting from ClioSoft’s long-term and ongoing integration with Synopsys Custom Compiler.”

“Micronas is recognized in the automotive and industrial business as a reliable global partner for intelligent, sensor-based system solutions,” says Ranjit Adhikary, vice president of marketing at ClioSoft. “It has been a pleasure to add Micronas to our ever-expanding list of European customers. We look forward for a long and mutually beneficial relationship between the two companies.”

About ClioSoft

ClioSoft is the pioneer and leading developer of system-on-chip (SoC) design configuration and enterprise IP management solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company’s SOS Design Collaboration Platform, built exclusively to meet the demanding requirements of SoC designs, empowers multi-site design teams to collaborate efficiently on complex analog, digital, RF and mixed-signal designs. SOS helps manage tight design schedules by efficiently sharing and managing worldwide design data using a high-performance scalable architecture with multi-streaming hyperdata transfer technology. The SOS platform is integrated with major EDA design flows, and is the only platform that works for all types of SoCs — analog, digital, RF and mixed-signal.
ClioSoft’s collaborative IP management solution improves design reuse by providing an easy-to-use workflow as well as management of the process of shopping, consuming and producing new IPs. Designers can very easily browse the different versions of existing IPs and their derivatives, and review the lineage, IP licensing, security, issue and defect tracking with remarkable ease to determine their suitability before using IPs in their designs.

Electrical Connectors for Hermetically Sealed Applications
Sponsored by Mouser Electronics and Bel
Many hermetic chambers today require electrical pathways to provide internal equipment with power, data or signals, or to receive data and signals from equipment within the chamber. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton and Brad Taras from Cinch Connectivity Solutions explore the role that seals and connectors play in the performance of hermetic chambers. They examine the methodologies to determine hermetic seal leaks, the benefits of epoxy hermetic seals, and how Cinch Connectivity’s epoxy-based seals and hermetic connectors can add value to your next design.
