Newark element14 adds passives from TE Connectivity, Ohmite, Bourns and Vishay to product portfolio, for industrial applications

CHICAGO – April 20, 2016 – Newark element14 has expanded its product portfolio of passive components from industry-leading suppliers TE Connectivity, Ohmite, Bourns and Vishay. The new ranges include TE Corcom power line filters, Ohmite/Arcol HS aluminium-housed resistors, Bourns’ gas discharge tubes and Vishay high voltage flat chip resistors. The products are ideal for applications within the industrial, telecommunications and test equipment markets.

“Newark element14 understands innovation relies upon the latest products and a short time to market, therefore we are constantly working to both expand our inventory and ensure this is all available for rapid delivery,” said Jesper Rasmussen, Global Category Director Passives, element14. “Partnering with industry-leading suppliers means that we can offer the latest passives products and solutions for industrial, telecommunications and instrumentation applications, where stability and accuracy are critical.”

The latest passive components in the Newark element14 range, available at http://www.newark.com/passive-components, deliver:
• Unrivalled accuracy at high voltages
• Superior EMI protection over high frequencies
• Heat dissipation and thermal resistance for maximum performance
• Excellent stability over lifetime

The Corcom power line filters and EJT series IEC inlet filters (with IEC320-C14 inlet) from TE Connectivity offer high frequency performance of up to 1GHz and are suited for use in medical, test and communication equipment.

Meanwhile, the Arcol/Ohmite HS150 series aluminum-housed resistors are manufactured to MIL 18546 and IEC 115 requirements. They are wire wound for direct heat sink mounting, with thermal compound to ensure maximum performance.

A new industry standard, the Bourns Gas Discharge Tube 2017 Series with FLAT Technology offers a 2-electrode GDT in an innovative, space-saving, flat-package design, making it ideal for high density and space-restricted applications in industrial communications and PCB assemblies.

Vishay TNPV’s high voltage thin-film flat-chip resistors are an industry-first, providing precise voltage measurements and board space battery-saving management systems alongside test and measuring equipment. The range is available in 700V and 1000V variations.

With an extensive portfolio of passive components comprising over 150,000 in-stocked products, such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, filters and more, Newark element14 continues to invest in new products including an extended range of Full Reel AEC-Q200 qualified ceramic capacitors and surface-mount resistors.

The full range of passives from TE Connectivity, Vishay and many others is available from Newark element14.
