Coilcraft Introduces New XEL40xx Series of High Frequency Power Inductors at APEC 2016

Cary, IL, USA – Coilcraft is introducing its new XEL40xx Series of low-loss power inductors today at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC 2016) in Long Beach, CA.

The XEL40xx Series is offered with lower inductance values that have been fully optimized for high frequency applications. They also offer extremely low DCR (as low as 2.5 mOhms) and ultra-low AC losses, resulting in the highest efficiency across a range of frequencies (2 to 5+ MHz). They are offered with current ratings as high as 28.5 Amps, and their soft saturation characteristics can withstand high current spikes.

XEL40xx Series inductors measure just 4.0 mm square with maximum heights as low as 1.2 mm, making them ideal for IoT and portable device applications. They feature RoHS compliant tin-silver over copper terminations and are halogen free. The XEL4014 andXEL4020 models are qualified to AEC-Q200 Grade 1 standards (-40° to +125°C ambient), making them suitable for automotive and other harsh-environment applications.

As with all Coilcraft parts, free evaluation samples of the XEL40xx Series are available online at www.coilcraft.com. For more information, contact Len Crane, +1-847-639-6400,lcrane@coilcraft.com.
