ADLINK Releases CMx-BTx PC/104 Single Board Computer Product Family with Latest Intel® Atom™ Processor System-on-Chip

ADLINK Technology, Inc., a leading global provider of cloud-based services, intelligent gateways, and embedded building blocks for edge devices that enable the Internet of Things (IoT), today introduced a new family of PC/104 form factor Single Board Computers (SBCs) featuring the Intel® Atom™ E38xx SoC Processor Series, with choices of single to quad-core CPUs running from 1.33 GHz to 1.91 GHz and support for up to 4GB DDR3L using a SO-DIMM socket. The new ADLINK CMx-BTx product family delivers efficient performance and power consumption levels inline with the latest Intel® Atom™ SoC Processors and targets industrial automation (IA), transportation, energy and military applications requiring industrial-grade stability.

The ADLINK CMx-BTx family offers models with various bus options based on PC/104, PC/104-Plus and PCI-104 specifications. Each SBC supports VGA and 18/24 bit single/dual channel LVDS. The CMx-BTx family also features up to two Gigabit Ethernet ports, up to two SATA ports or one SATA and one mSATA port, one USB 3.0/2.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, up to four RS232/485 COM ports, 8 GPIOs, and an HD Audio interface.

“The CMx-BTx product family is designed for mobile and stationary systems with application scenarios across markets, including IA, medical, test and measurement, and rugged transportation and military solutions requiring high performance graphics,” said Bjoern Reiss, small form factor product manager for ADLINK. The new family of SBCs is also suitable for harsh environments and is designed to withstand 50G shock and 12G vibration per MIL-STD-202F. Models supporting an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C are available.

The ADLINK CMx-BTx–with built-in SEMA (Smart Embedded Management Agent) Cloud platform functionality–is ready-made for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. SEMA Cloud’s remote monitoring, management, and control capabilities enable users to connect legacy industrial devices and other IoT systems to the cloud, extract raw data from these devices, and determine which data to save locally and which to send to the cloud for further analysis. The result of these analyses can provide valuable information for policy decision-making and generate innovative business opportunities.
