VadaTech Releases New Xilinx All Programmable FPGA Carriers and Digitizers at Embedded World

Embedded World – Feb 23, 2015 – VadaTech, a manufacturer of embedded boards and complete application-ready platforms, has announced two new high-performance AMC boards that utilize Xilinx All Programmable FPGAs.

The AMC523 is a dual 16-bit 250 MSPS Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) featuring a XC7K410T Kintex-7 FPGA from Xilinx.  The FPGA has an interface to the DDR3 memory, allowing for large buffer sizes to be stored during processing as well as for queuing the data to the host. The MicroTCA.4 compliant AMC523 allows for flexible external clocking as well as internal clocking.  It also has a corresponding RTM with 10 ADCs.

VadaTech is also announcing the AMC525, which is a dual FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) carrier per VITA 57.   The AMC card features a Xilinx 690T Virtex-7 FPGA and an on-board QorIQ™ P2040 processor.  The quad core P2040 allows the FPGA to act as an independent host, as well as for distributed processing.

“It is always exciting to see innovative customers harness Xilinx high performance silicon and software solutions to bring innovative technology to market quickly”, said Yousef Khalilollahi, Senior Director of Aerospace & Defense at Xilinx. “These two new boards from VadaTech harness the diversity and flexibility of the Xilinx All Programmable FPGA’s, and are a generation ahead in terms of price, performance and power consumption.”

VadaTech also offers the full suite of Xilinx FPGAs in AMC carriers, including Virtex®-5, Virtex®-6, Artix®-7, Kintex®-7, Virtex®-7 FPGAs and Zynq® All Programmable SoCs.   The company provides FMC modules per VITA-57 in versions with various I/O configurations and in types for ADC/DAC.  Other non-carrier and specialty FPGAs are offered by the company.  For more information, contact VadaTech atinfo@vadatech.com
