PHOENIX—Nov. 12, 2014—Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), will host a series of SpeedWay Design Workshops™, featuring Freescale® Semiconductor’s K2 next-generation Kinetis® ARM® Cortex®-M microcontrollers and enablement tools.
Avnet’s one-day Freescale K2 SpeedWay Design Workshop will provide microcontroller hardware and software engineers with complimentary training and hands-on product experience designing with Freescale’s K2 Kinetis solutions. The K2 solution portfolio includes second-generationKinetis K series products, which build on the existing Kinetis portfolio of more than 900 devices and scales up to 2 MB Flash and 256 K SRAM, as well as the next generation of easy-to-use software development tools for Kinetis MCUs.
Attendees will be introduced to the latest software, development hardware, tools, libraries, operating systems and bootloader solutions needed to accelerate development of their next MCU design, including the complimentary Freescale Kinetis Design Studio, featuring robust editing, compiling and debugging for the Kinetis MCU portfolio. Also featured will be the Kinetis Software Development Kit (KSDK), an extensive suite of peripheral drivers, stacks, middleware and example applications designed to step up application development by providing pre-integrated software compatible with industry-leading Integrated Development Environments (IDE).
