Techaya’s MILTECH 912: Unparalleled Advanced Network Features to Ethernet-Equipped Mobile Platforms

Los Angeles – October 7, 2014 – MilSource, a U.S. distributor of military-grade Ethernet connectivity solutions, announced availability of Techaya’s MILTECH 912 rugged, 12-port, MIL-STD managed gigabit Ethernet switch. Ideal for mobile Ethernet-equipped platforms, such as vetronic, unmanned ground vehicles and aerial applications, the MILTECH 912 provides an excellent combination of size, weight and cost (SWaP-C) and saves valuable real estate for computers, IP-based sensors, navigation, targeting systems and other devices.

The MILTECH 912 is compact, yet offers 12 triple-speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet ports, and has advanced network features including VLANs, traffic prioritization (QoS) and bandwidth aggregation. The twelve Ethernet ports are provided through by two MIL-D-38999 connectors and the power stands alone to conform to MIL-STD-1275. Its gigabit speeds and 24VDC bus make it instantly compatible with most network device and power systems.

“Techaya is built from the ground up with MIL-SPEC and SWaP-C as top priorities, and it continues to be at the forefront for new innovations in the industry,” said Ronen Isaac, general manager of MilSource. “MILTECH 912 is a perfect answer for rugged LAN connectivity in those situations when advanced network features and reliability are as critical for success as SWaP-C.”
