Adeneo Embedded Provides Software Support and Services for Altera ARM-based SoC FPGAs

Ecully, France, September 15, 2014 – Adeneo Embedded today announced it is now providing software support and services for the Altera® product line of programmable SoCs with embedded ARM processors, beginning with the Altera Cyclone® V SoC. This collaboration brings together Adeneo Embedded’s strong expertise in embedded software and Altera’s world-class ARM-based SoC FPGA solutions. In addition, the companies will work with Arrow Electronics to help provide Altera SoC solutions to customers throughout US and EU markets.

Altera® SoCs integrate an ARM-based HPS (hard processor system) consisting of processor, peripherals, and memory interfaces with the FPGA logic fabric using a high-bandwidth interconnect backbone. This combination of HPS and programmable logic provides improved system performance, reliability, lower cost and flexibility in design. Also, SoCs allow customers to upgrade their systems to the latest IP technology without having to redesign the product.

Adeneo Embedded, a well-known system integrator in the embedded market, has been providing software support and services to customers for more than a decade. Adeneo Embedded specializes in leading operating systems, such as Android, embedded Linux, Windows Embedded and QNX.

Adeneo Embedded supports getting started with the Altera® Cyclone V SoC platform by providing access to training videos, community-based support on Altera’s SoC development forum (www.rocketboards.org), joint trainings with Arrow and Altera® sales and FAE reps, along with a custom Altera-specific support package for end customers. Along with these, Adeneo Embedded offers software consulting and services to enable customers on the Altera SoC products.

Adeneo Embedded is proud to collaborate with Altera to support customers designing embedded devices with the Cyclone V SoC,” said Adeneo Embedded’s CEO Yannick Chammings. “Developing a multimedia, connected, embedded device using the ARM Cortex-A architecture with FPGA processing and complex software like Linux, Android, Windows Embedded Compact or QNX is not an easy task, and the Adeneo Embedded expertise in OS integration and software optimization ensures development success and fastest time-to-market for such projects.”
