In Case You Missed the Embedded Software Store at ARM TechCon

PHOENIX—November 7, 2013 — Did you miss the Embedded Software Store’s demonstrations at ARM TechCon in Santa Clara? Then it’s your lucky day, because Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), is making them available to engineers everywhere, with on-demand videos right at their fingertips.

Avnet’s experts and suppliers showcased various solutions targeted for customers in the embedded software space, all of them available at the Embedded Software Store, an online information and e-Commerce-based website developed jointly by Avnet Electronics Marketing and ARM. The video demonstrations feature Embedded Software Store products including design analysis tools used for FPGA verification, a verifiable scheduler that engineers can use to fully validate the kernel in the target environment, among others.

Also featured in one of the demonstrations is MicroZed™, Avnet’s newest, low-cost Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC development kit running Ubuntu desktop Linux and driving Avnet’s 7” Industrial Touch LCD Panel. This unique design board can operate in standalone mode for quick experiments or as a System-on-Module (SOM) when plugged into a carrier card.

“From Bluetooth software stacks and embedded board systems-on-module, to various software solutions for advanced embedded applications, the Embedded Software Store’s ARM TechCon 2013 video series gives engineers the tools they need to address complex design challenges and reduce design cycles,” said Tim Barber, senior vice president, design chain business development, Avnet Electronics Marketing. “ARM TechCon has once again proven to be a great opportunity for Avnet to combine our broad in-house expertise, with our extensive product offering, in an environment where great ideas can flourish. So if you were not able to make it to the conference, we are bringing ARM TechCon to you.”
