CUI Introduces Medical External Power Supplies

TUALATIN, Ore. – May 1, 2012 – CUI Inc announced a release of its first high efficiency medical external power supplies. Offerings include both multi-blade wall adapters and desktop adapters. All units meet Level V efficiencies and come with UL/cUL and TUV 60601-1 safety certifications. 

The flexible EMMA multi-blade adapter series is designed for global use and comes standard with interchangeable blades for operation in North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia. It is offered in 15 W and 30 W configurations with a number of different output voltage options from 5 to 24 Vdc. The EMMA series is ideal for customers who require a medically approved wall adapter for use around the world.

The new ETMA desktop adapter series is offered in 30 W60 W110 W200 W, and 250 W configurations for medical designs needing more power than is available in a traditional wall adapter. 

“With this latest release of medically certified adapters, CUI now offers a wide array of power supplies to meet the medical designer’s power needs. CUI provides both internal and external power solutions which we expect will address most medical project requirements,” stated Kraig Kawada, CUI’s VP of Product Management.
